definitely reckon the bottom pic looks heaps better. makes the wheels look bigger, better and more old skool (simplicity is the key). imagine the car all done in that gunmetal colour as well......(happy times)

Somehow I'm not feelin' the coloured lip edges... would you consider highlighting the edge of the spokes with the same colours? Something like ATS Cups spring to mind (but with coloured edges, not polished). Found an example of the MAE design with the scheme that I was thinking of:
By the way, are you respraying it white again (I mean the car), or something different? May be cool to go the colour-coded route...
