What happens if you remove the spacers?
Hey guys,
I'm currently running 18x9 et20 (after 15mm spacer) with 225/40/18 tyres.
The front is fine, but when i put my rear spacers on my tyres and fenders start making love to each other.
Here is what it looks like with the spacers fitted, do you guys think 215/40 will be fine to run or would i be better off going with 205/40?

What happens if you remove the spacers?
I am running them on the front to clear my coilovers, so with the back ones off i end up with my front wheels sticking out 15mm more than my rear, which looks a bit silly IMO
I'd try and find a 'narrow' 215/40.
If you lower the front more you wont require such big spacers in the back to match the poke
if you lower the front enough the need to space the rear out the standard 5-10mm rule no longer applies, and you actually need to space the front more.
Iv never looked at 215/40s, just have a look through some of the brands physical specs
also if it helps.
a 18x9et24 or 25 with a 215/40 will clear the strut in the front if that helps, means you dont have the make the rear as aggressive to match
Thank you man! i've always wondered how guys run higher offsets in the rear but make it look more aggressive than the front.
I'll see what i can do with that and hopefully fix it up this week
Decided to go with camber shims in the end. Should be done by the weekend i hope![]()
