Need help with new rims & suspension for 98 VR6
I've recently purchased a Mk3 98 VR6 and the suspension is rubbish mainly due to the last owner replacing it with cheap second hand shocks. It's sitting on 15" BBS rims (the optional rims when purchasing).
I've had a quote to get some Koni suspension in but it is quite costly. Before doing this I was thinking of putting on some 16" rims so I know how much lower I can go without risk of rubbing.
Can anyone offer any suggestions or alternatives to this setup or if there is somewhere/someone where I can purchase secondhand Koni/Bilstein suspension?
Thanks,
Daniel...

Just get coilovers if you want cheap lows.
15" bbs vr wheels were standard.
Doesn't matter what size diameter wheel you get. Any rubbing is from wrong widths, offsets, tyre sizes and lowering too much. Or a combination of all these.
Pick something that has been tried and tested on a vr if your new to wheels, tyres, and these cars

I'm with Dylan, can get coilovers pretty damn cheap.
I mucked around and bought a couple sets of wheels that never made it on my first vr6 because they wouldn't fit for various reasons so if your new to it either do lots of research or get some that will definitely fit.
