Need advice on Wheel Size for 2013 V6 CC

I want to put different (black) sports wheels on my CC. Stock wheels are 18'. I don't/won't drive the car hard for performance but still want quality wheels and want them to look good. Have sourced some Audi TT RS style ones that I like. The fitment specs are fine for VW CC but can't get them in 18' (only 19'). I've been warned that 19' wheels might make the ride of car worse since it was designed for 18' wheels.

Should I worry or will the ride be ok on 19'????

    Advice appreciated.

19" wheels will mean a shorter side wall is required for the tyres to suit the rolling diameter required.
As such there will be less "flex" from the tyres and the ride will feel bumpier.

I would say max 18's for comfort and 19's if you want the look more than comfort.

I believe there was an optional upgrade to the "Sagita" wheel which were 19".
Standard they come with the 18" turbine style wheel.

CC did indeed come w optional 19s.
I have some on my CC And it's really not much difference from my stock 18s to me it depends on tyre choice.

If you run lower tyre pressures on 19s, it'll remove some of the harshness associated with an ultra-low profile sidewall but then you run the risk of damaging your wheels because the tyre is what protects it. Also, as a general rule, 19s will probably increase your unsprung weight slightly - some people notice this, some don't. If you prefer comfort, stick with 18s. If you're after looks, go for 19s.

Or you could just go fully hektik and go for 20s.

Aftermarket 18s may look silly (I know having had 3 sets on my cc) as there'll be ride height gap. Go 19s or 20s but for comfort I'd stick w 19 as there's that little more tyre.

Can't see how the gap between the arch and the tyre is going to change when you go from a 235/40R18 to a 235/35R19... :/ the (theoretical) difference in height is something like 2mm. Even 245/35R19 is only 9mm taller, which is three fifths of bugger all. Not trying to be argumentative, just can't see how it would change.

Just the look of it, and less sidewall makes it look bigger.

Check out my cars pics with stocks, 18 r32 zolders and the 19 gtc's and tell me the 19s don't look a huge difference.

End of the day each to their own, and I'm just going off my experience with my cc. I've found the cc a right pain in the arse to find good wheels due to the design of the car.

    Cheers darko.

Yeah, that's true. I already commented - really like those wheels! The design of the wheel makes a difference as well - anything without a lip/dish will look bigger.

Mesh or multispoke tends to work quite well on Euro cars. I've been lusting over TWS Nurburgrings for a while - very similar design to yours.
