    modifying coilovers..... how please?

    i dont know much about this although i have heard about it

    id like to go lower by modifying the coilovers, does anyone know what is involved?

    it would be achieved by extending the thread that gets wound down when lowering the vehicle,then increasing pressure on the spring. Or either cuting half to a coil out of the spring try jdm forum mate.

    whoar! dont know about cutting a coil out! and also the tread on the coilovers stick out more than the shaft itself so i cant exactly make a extended thread because there isnt any metal to cut into

    could there be an option to get custom springs made up?

    Yes I don't see why not, coilovers are made with the strut and coil . By what I mean by thta they are made especially for eachother, I don't see why not you can't take it to a spring place and get new coils made up with the same spring rate just a smaller spring

    i dont wanna remove or cut anything, i would like a complete shocker/spring setup, just modified for more height adjustment

    New spring quickest and cheapest way to do, and if you want to lower sell them just put the old springs in there.

    ? dude that means buying different coilovers...

    just remove the small spring at the bottom... that way you get another inch of adjustment

    its not doing anything now in your car because when the car is on the ground its fully compressed...so its just taking up ride height.
