if its any use, my old vr6 brakes were smokin many a mountin run and twice ended up with literally no brakes due to heat fade!! if u upgrade your brakes go after market, especially if your gunna track it! theres plenty of 4 stud upgrades out there . . . :cool:
At the moment I have the KW V2 on the car, I am also looking into front and rear strut bars aswell as sways, but haven't found the right sway bars that I want, and also my money tree needs to grow a little more :D
At the moment I have slottled 288mm disks, however I am considering on going to the 312mm brake kits, alot more stopping power and I have seen them on another vr6 they don't look bad! However I don't want to lose the slotted look its awesome:D
There is a point where it can be too much, I recently did the Wisemans ferry run and I was infront of a Audi A4 Quattro2T the whole time, he struggled to keep up with me once I hit the corners coming out more efficient and with pace to spare. This was just with the coilovers set to a little stiffer than medium (quarter turn).
For sway bars u would rin a 28mm on the back but what size on the front?
Also where do u get Neuspeed bars cheap? :confused:
At MJM Autohaus the 25mm one is 234.95
As you said which is better to get the 25mm or 28mm?

Generally a stiffer sway bar would mean a stiffer chassis, reducing the amount of weight transfer when going through a corner. This makes for more predictable control over your car, and I'd take a good guess that that's what you want in a race-spec car. However, this would also result in harsher ride quality, so a really thick sway bar would generally be undesireable in a street car.
Neuspeed is American-based, and the only Australian distributor I know of is Rennenhaus in Newcastle. You can purchase direct from Neuspeed and have them ship it over but something of that size would be bloody expensive. I talked to Ian from Rennenhaus and he has given me a rough price of $389AUD not inc. GST pick-up from European Autotech.
On another note, shaneth is organising a group buy on Whiteline sway bars. Pedro expressed interest for the Mk3 rear sway bar, and found out that they have 22mm adjustable ones. The price though is $190 + $20 shipping, which is essentially half the price of the Neuspeed sway bar. I'd really want a 25mm or even 28mm but I just can't ignore the pricing of the Whiteline sway bar...
People say the Whiteline ones dont fit
They give you the wrong size brackets, is this true, I have heard bad things about their quality

I did stock ones for the Control arm bushes.
They had to take the sump out to get them in, is this true?
The bloody things are really noisy, dont know why they squeak.
I am having problems with my front as it rubs going around sharp corners, I am using KW's, cant seem to get enough camber on the fronts
Pedders set it up, and they said they could only get -0.4 on the right side and -1.0 on the left, it is the right side that rubs the most
I was told I should put camber bolts in, does anyone know if I should be able to get more negative than -0.4
