I suppose you would stretch with a minimum of 40 profile and it would definitely help with a quality-built wheel!

If they are custom made to whatever you want, wouldn't they be drilled to what you want too? Either way I will be finding out soon enough. If it's $650 x 4 = $2600 + tyres + adaptors it's getting a little much since I could most likely just buy 2 sets of the staggered fitment ones and sell off the 4 x 10's I would have left over and be way in front. (or hunt down 4 x 7.5" rims). Mind you they are hot.

I will have a look at Tempe Tyres and Australia's Best for some Porsche genuine or copies. Just got an email back from one of the sets listed on eBay... shipping is quoted at 900Euro! WTF!

On a side note, I'm very much trying to stick to 16" since they seem to be the best size for a Mk3, but I may as well ask. Is there many issues with a 17"? Is there a recommended width for a 17" to try and keep things easy?

17x7 would be safe, 17x7.5 would look awesome.

Steve may have a point about them being 5x130... but hopefully he receives the centre-pieces without any holes drilled.

Hmm true, however adaptors are going to cost you $300 for a pair I just sold mine

Has anyone run 215/40R17's on a Mk3? Any rubbing issues?

This seems to be the tyre I would be putting on either 7" or 7.5" if I went the 17" route...

Will have to pay them a visit (or at least give them a call tomorrow).

Seems the website vs the Yellow pages is a little difference:

    Website:
    Ozwheel Australia
100 ****son Road (swear filter doesn't like that one )
    Leppington NSW 2171

    Phone: 02 9606 6468
    Mobile: 0404 844 806
    Yellow pages:
    Ozwheel Australia

    U1/ 86 Glossop St
    North St Marys
    NSW, 2760
    Australia

    Phone: (02) 9623 7179
I figure yellow pages will be more up to date, besides... information is only one (maybe two) phone calls away

Aaron, it's the one at St Marys, NOT Leppington. He moved shop ages ago and hasn't updated the website.

It's confirmed! Oz Wheels can make them in 16" or 17" in whatever width etc etc. $635 per corner...

They come as blanks so can be drilled to 5 x 100, being that they would be made to order I could stick with 16" x 7" so they would fit perfectly. The downside of course is that they would set me back $2540

    The alternative...
    Something like this:
    http://www.agrtyres.com.au/products_...HE&part_no=348

Round the $1,000 mark + adaptors (+maybe rubber). Then there is also the problem of fitting 9" under the rear.

Plan C: I have magic beans for sale... $2,500 and they are all yours...
