    MK2 Lower Stress Bar (Front)

When installing a lower stress bar (front) does the car need to be suspended and weight taken off the front wheels? or would I be ok installing this on ramps?

id get the weight off the control arms if that is your mounting point. Usually you need to remove the main bolt that they pivot on.

On most of the cars ive fitted one we got the car on stands. On some cars you need to undo engine mounts and lift the engine a little as well so the control arm bolt on one side can clear the sump.

THanks Tim. I checked the fit and the control arm bolt clears the sump, will get some stands sorted and take it from there.
