Most kits wouldn't come with just rears as it'll be horrid to drive
What spring combo of other vw will lower just the REAR of a mrk 6 gti.
I personsly know of a few ways but love to know a easy swap.

I should give be more clear. Im not dumping it to the ground just on the rear. Im after 10-15mm lower, im sure im not the only one who wants this or has done this.
And as we all know vw uses many interchangable parts, eg gti springs to lower a tsi/tdi.
I not going to buy a kit from h&r eibach etc etc...if there is springs to suit great.
Im not even going to touch what the changes of this is going to have on the handling, this is a daily driver and appearance is my main goal

If appearance is the goal even drop all round or slightly more in the front suits the golf shape best.
It's not not a 90s Commodore.
You could just get the rear springs reset or get some king springs custom made if you want rear only
Lets just pretend its a vn with steelies on back..
No king springs only bannanas and taxis come in yellow. I did read a post and i cant find it that another vw at the rear could be used to lower it just a bit with no fuss..
Better keep looking.
I'm not familiar with the Mk6 rear end, but if the spring seats on a decently thick rubber isolator then an option is to run a thinner nolathane isolator. You can often get these from places like PSI tuning or ECS etc. The amount by which it is thinner will give you a slight drop. If your spring seats are metal top and bottom then you are stuck in that regard.
Being a GTi I doubt there'd be much else out there thats lower from factory. Keep your eye out for eibach kits second hand for cheap etc. I wouldn't be too afraid of using just the rears from a kit like that. The drops are moderate and I know with the Polo Gti that their spring rates are more or less the same as OEM, sometimes even softer! Alternatively you could get them professionally reset by a spring manufacturer. Here in sydney K-mac do that for about $200.
Rubbers top and bottom, small on top and big on bottom. As for a reset im not so keen in that a spring steel dosnt like being heated too much as it looses some of its spring and life at said height.
Buy some SPM springs and just install the rear ones to give you about a 20mm drop. See my pics here: SPM Springs on Mk6 GTI
bunnings sell bags of all kind of heavy stuff for cheap. Stick a few in your boot.
now seriously - all the FWD golfs weigh a very similar amount over the rear axle. The front can vary quite a bit, but the rear does not. Therefore, I would say that since you already have a GTI, your quite unlikely to find factory springs that will put just the rear lower than that.
But WHY??????????????????
