Lowering a Golf MKVII, how to I go about it ?

    Hi All,

I've had a discussion kick off over in the MK7 thread Tyre recommendations for the Mk7 about lowering the suspension of my MK7 fitted with 18" wheels.

    I've a few questions:

    * Has anyone done this already ? Do they have any recommendations on what product to use ?
    * How does this effect the warranty ?
    * For people who've lowered other VW's in Brisbane, anyone have recommendations on where to get it done ?

The car is pretty new to the market. I doubt there are many aftermarket parts currently available in AUS

From past experience, get the factory springs reset. Or custom ones made up.

If you want it lower use inserts and weld up the factory mounts (what they do to old restorations when new parts are not available). This may not be legal.

And yes it will void your warranty.

Get the angle grinder out and remove a few coils
