Offset is key when adding dished rims to any car.
You can buy massive wide rims with heaps of dish but if you get the right offset you normally don't need to. You will probably need some camber added and used streched tyres and you should be right.
could someone please tell me the distance between the hub and the mudguard on a vr6? i wanna figure out exactly how much lip and poke i could get with certain offsets and widths.

Have a gander through my photobucket, I've uploaded some wheel fitment pics on Mk3s along with their respective specs - http://s25.photobucket.com/albums/c6...Mk3%20Fitment/
Example:
16x8.5 ET26 front, 16x9 ET11 rear.
Lack of dish on low offset wide wheels usually means they're running spacers/adapters.
thanks for that ray (Y)
and another question! sorry about all these.
could someone explain brake clearance to me? i mean, if your brakes are too big for the wheel to fit, you would need to put on spacers, yes? but with just a quick google search i found out that spacers are illegal :S
thanks for the replies.
