Not a truer word has been spoken!!!!!
For anyone who has talked crap about KW's, its those who have not even rode in a KW equipped car!!!!
Hands down, my favorite suspension setup has been from KW, Koni & Koni/Eibach. Shock/Spring setup
I've also ridden in cars equipped with Bilstein's & H&R, along with alot of cheaper un-named versions.
I'm, yet to experience a cheaper no named coilover or shock/spring setup get anywhere near the above companys & have basically been crap from the build quality to the ride quality!!!! Bascially Crap all around, which I suppose does give it consistancy!
I'm hearing you, Tim. People are FAR better off with a good spring/shock combo like you've mentioned than cheap coilovers i reckon.
One car that really impressed me for spring/shock combo was Waterboy's Mk3. For how low that thing is, damn it rides nice!

Yep agree to all above.....That vid deffently shows me for my sportsedan that will be a step next to make....
I really hate the sayin *u get wat u pay for* do ur homework and i reckon at the end of the day u can get a real good combo suspension setup...and save in long run
I couldn't agree more !! After installing the KW's in to the R, i was just AMAZED at how good the ride and handling was. Now i'm not sure if that is amazement is a little unjust in the fact that i found the stock suspension appalling, but wow what a difference it has made and was definitely worth the coin over the cheaper setups/lowered springs etc
lol...that vid i posted defently shows us wat extreme testin they do to satisfy customers....
Performance wise KWs definately seem to be the way to go these days. My only gripe has always been the poor support they have in our market in regards to spare parts/servicing. Not sure if this has changed recently but if i cant go back to the distributor in a few years time for a rebuild im not interested. Does anyone know if East Coast are now offering rebuilds? If they are KW will probably be my next choice. If not ill be heading back to billies I reckon even though they are probably not as good a product.
That aside as they other saying goes. Different strokes for different folks. Super low and super stiff doesnt handle well at all. If you have no suspension travel thats just the way it is. Even on an expensive setup.
If you are just after the look by all means go out and buy something dirt cheap cos youre wasting a good quality kit to do something it wasnt designed for.
I still wont be countin out Billies....ive always used them never had a prob.Yes the parts are easy sourced..
