    JOM durability

    Hi all
I am considering buying a set of JOM coilovers for my 99 passat
Has anyone got feedback on how they stand up over time in the way of wear & tear as the price seems to good to be true
I have some mighty pots hole in my area & don't wont something that is going to start leaking after a slight bump

    Thanks Ian

I've got JOM's on a mk4 golf, they are extremely stiff but you have to expect that.
I've been through a few pot holes, decent enough to dent a rim but the coilovers have been fine.

I wouldn't really recommend them to anyone, just because they are really stiff.

IMHO I'd save the extra and get something that is a little more comforting.

Your car looks good in the pic. How far is dropped & is that the way you normally run it
I had set of simmons wheels very similar on my mk2
Iv had koni.sport & they will knock the fillings out of your teeth

I would'nt drop it more than 30_40mm so that might
compensate for the ride. I have read that more you lower them the harder the ride
I am pleased to hear they are standing up to regular usage
    Thanks Ian

A friend of mine had them. Didn't like them, removed them and we ended up changing it to a set of lowered springs and standard shocks.

I guess you get what you pay for. Some people just want to be able to adjust their ride height and in that case, they suit the purpose.
