    Jetta Mk5 lowering advice.

    Hey guys

I'm really wanting to drop my Jetta - however, my budget is limited. I don't really want to spend more than $1000 inc. installation. Keeping in mind that my Jetta is my daily driver and won't be tracked or anything (it's a Jetta...)

    Do I go for:
    - Lowering springs, such as Eibach Sportlines.
    - Budget coilovers, such as JOM/FK etc.

I appreciate any kind of feedback.

    Thanks.

not that i'm being biased, but i'd recommend the eibach pro-kit.
    20mm drop all round.

I had the top line FK konigsports in our jetta.

Awesome coilover with damper adjustability, and they go super low unlike some others i researched.

I never had our Jetta super low but for my partners daily driver she loved it and it handled sooooooo much better.

I got ours from ECS but the Aus dollar was a lot better when i got them.

IMO i will never go with a lowering spring ever again....Coilovers all the way.

i think you'd find 45mm harsh, uncomfortable & regret the decision.

Everyone is different though, so if that is your aim then get coilovers. If 45mm is too harsh then you can wind it up a bit.

I actually think you're right. Being that low would be a PITA for daily driving too.

I'm really considering the Eibach Pro Kit. I've been quoted $700 fitted from Wilkinsons in Bayswater (Perth). Just waiting for them to get back to me.
