just wandering if its possible to increase the offset on wheels by getting someone to grind down the hubs or something like that? the hubs are heaps beefy, my wheel nuts arent even long enough to get through them. would be wanting to take it from around et35 to et50. are the services available to do this and retain the structural integrity of the wheel?

to tell the truth i know nothing about wheels. just wanted to check before i give these wheels away. looks awsome with them sticking out so far but wont be so awsome if i get pulled over or have a crash. im guessing its not possible?
In my opinion it is an accident waiting to happen. Wheels are pretty important, and how they are fixed to the car is the crucial bit.
No he's got a point except grinding your mounting face will increase the offset not reduce it as the wheel will sit IN more. Custom bolts are $8 each. Do you want the wheels to sit in more?
?? the wheels will sit in more?? thus reducing the offset?? hmmm . . .or am i the dummie? . . .
oh sorry, i fully read the post of them sticking out . . . my bad. . . well then . . . lol, do itD
hehe cant see the harm? though i am no professional . . .
Yep, evorobin's right. If the wheel lugs aren't long enough, find longer ones. I did the same when I upgraded, though I could still run my standard lugs.
