I know they are not the real deal but.......BBS Wheels.

    Afternoon Gents.

After weeks of searching for the right wheels for the my mk1 i am stumped.

have the original 13in mk1 wheels.

Then the 14in mk3/2 steelies - with the intention of banding them but dont want to be getting defective vehicle notices (as i have heard these are the consequeces of looking cool)

Then some 14inch alloys (5 spoke with polished lip look like ABT rims) but just not gonna cut the look i want.

Inbetween all this endless hours searching ebay/trading post/scrap yards/jap import wreckers/boostcruising.com - im sure some of you can relate to this!!

I want a set of BBS/split rims/dish/old school and figured 15inch is the right size for the mk1, but then finding the right offset/stud pattern is the next problem! and to be honest, i have given up!

    Soooooooooo

    NEWS

I have been intouch with the importer of these wheels, he gets them in next week.

I'm tempted, im fustrated! or am i just being lame getting replicas?

    opinions??

    Thanks.

    Phil.

    Sorry,

Click the 'NEWS' Link above, or below for that matter, or if someone can host one of them pics that would be sweet.

    You've gotta pay to play!
You're right when you say you're buying lame replicas, but 90% of people aren't going to know that.

Oh, and weeks of searching? I've been lurking German Ebay, Yahoo Auctions Japan and UK Ebay for nice wheels for probably two years, hoping that something comes along.

You've got to be patient if you want legitimate, quality wheels in the right sizes.

no... reps arnet crap,... their just not 3 piece wheels. if you plan on driving your car every day, i dont see the issue with replicas..... and who cares! as long as your car looks good!

I came close to buying genuine polished RM's from Germany for 1200 euro (including del to Oz) - BBS RM polished 4x100 (not RS OZ) Bmw mk1 mk2 split on eBay (end time 18-Jul-10 19:10:17 BST) - from this seller - eBay My World - jelemich. He doesn't have anything up at the moment, but I got the impression he sells a fair few.

I agree with Jarred, reps might be a good solution for the time being and will buy you time to find the perfect rim. Btw, isn't there an Aussie manufacturer of these reps? I seem to remember seeing them on Ebay Australia before.

    Best of luck either way!
