    Helper springs!

who is running helper springs in front and who isnt?

im running fairly low, and im sick of the ride quality, its way to harsh without helpers.

will having the front helpers reinstalled, and raising her up a bit soften things up? im looking at moving to a 2 finger gap, as opposed to a no finger gap.

    will it make much difference?

    what are your experiences?

I thought helper springs were to keep the main spring captive if the strut fully extends? they are generally 2ish kg/mm so don't really effect the ride quality.

if you want the car higher, raise it. soften the dampers.

perhaps take it to a suspension place, they can corner weight it and have it handling nicely. lower isn't always better, suspension arms need to be at particular angles to work properly.

as above. in most coilovers helper springs are just there to help keep everything captive and in line on full strut extension.
Depending what coilovers you have raising or lowering it may not have any effect into ride quality.

Personally, with my TA technic coilovers I found the lower the car was the better the ride seemed to be. when I had to wind it up to clear a defect the ride was horrid. but these have no damping adjustment.

I run them with and without helpers. ride was the same

Ah okay no worries. Helper will stay. Might just raise it a bit until I get some baller wheels.

I haven't noticed any difference in ride quality since taking them out, but as mentioned, it might be a different deal with different coilovers
