I am now concidering this wheel, an RS4 copy.

Will it look good on a Golf VI? I haven't made my mind up yet.

Personally, I would not go the RS4 reps (or real for that matter).

They look great, but they are SO COMMON already!

If you get something a bit different, it may help when it comes time to sell to the car, or you won't feel a bit disappointed that every 3rd MkVI has the same wheels that you splashed out on.

That is what I am thinking, although there are not that many Golf VI around here. The other issue is having a wheel that is readily recognized as an Audi wheel on a VW.

and the reverse of that argument - if you choose a popular wheel, then you know your market is going to be a lot larger when you try to sell.

my view, buy a wheel YOU are happy with, not what the next owner might want

I agree, "eye of the beholder" and all that.... dont take this the wrong way, but the wheels are for your car. There are a heap of places you can take your car to and "view' the wheels against it. Ultimately, if 5 people agree on a wheel, does that make it the right decision? Create the look your happy to ride in, unless your pockets are deep and you can either change wheels as often as Pierre, or you import a unique set.

An update, I was emailed the wrong picture. It should have been:

It goes without saying I don't like it. It was the fault of the manufacturer, not the tyre shop.

The M3 CSL style are nice. Unfortunately those sold in Australia only fit BMWs. VMR sell them for 5x112 http://www.velocitymotoring.com/wheels_v710.html

I like the VMR wheels. Would the 18 x 8.5 fit a Golf VI? If so, which offset, 35 or 45.
