Firehawk Sport 01 vs Potenza Adrenalin RE003 Tyres

I'm currently on RE003's and while they have been excellent and well-priced, the Firehawks are cheaper and look to be very similar.... and they say Hawk on them

Has anyone used the Firehawks to report any experiences?

These tyres are relatively new to the market (at least in Australia) so I dare say you will be hard pressed to find much feedback just yet.

My little Fiesta ST has RE003's on it at the moment. These look to have some similarities in the tread design - I wonder if they are a replacement for the RE003's? Or simply the "same" tyre sold under the more budget Firestone brand.

You probably already know, but Bridgestone = Firestone brand. The RE003's are sold in America as the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 Firehawk Indy 500 Tire | Firestone Tires

I was digging around over the weekend and as best I understand things:

    Firehawk Indy 500 = RE003
    Firehawk Sport 01 = RE002

(with maybe some compound changes as well? )

In any case, they are both on 3 for four deals which makes them just over $100 apart for a full set at $747 vs $855 AND the local shop would have to order in the Firehawks where the RE003's are already in stock. I mean, I'd like to keep the $108 in my pocket but it does seem that the RE003's are the better choice across the board.

Costco would be slightly cheaper, but given I don't have a current membership it works out about the same.

You are correct (and I missed it). The tread pattern on the Firestone is the same as the old Bridgestone RE002. The RE003 has been around for so long that I had forgotton about the RE002.
