    Expensive OEM wheels

Was interested in replacing the original 17" Denvers on a Mk6 GTi with VW OEM "Activa" wheels, until I found out how much the Activa wheels are - AUD 725 each !!

Photo of the Activa attached below:

Does anyone know of any aftermarket wheels or replicas which look similar, with similar specs as the original Denvers? 7.5J x 17, ET51, 57.1mm centre bore

I like them purely for the looks, not because they are OEM. I'd happily go with non genuine wheels if they are of a similar design, I just haven't come across any yet.

    Has anyone?

for real ones on ebay in the usa though but sure they would post and would prob still end up less than half the price of what they want to charge you.

will be honest though i think they look very 4x4 ish

AZEV Type R looks very similar but it is 18 or 19".They would have a fitment for the GTi.

They do have the Type H in 7.5 x 17 that may be worth a look.

I made a claim on my tyre and rim insurance... a new Detroit wheel is $850 but I managed to get the hook up and only pay $750. Luckily as I forked out $620 when I bought my car I got it all back.

Why would you bother with OEM wheels?

Quality own wheels stay true do not flake and are better quality then the cheap Chinese aftermarket foil you buy. OEM or a good quality wheel is the way to go. Remember you get what you pay for
