    It actually comes in both 18 x 7.5 and 18 x 8.. are there any pros or cons over picking either? I'm assuming the x 8 just stretches the rubber that little bit further and fills out the wheel arch some more (the offset was +7mm from memory). Does this actually get a little more rubber on the road and provide a benefit?

    And for when you next change your wheels in 3.2 weeks (and sorry, they didn't have your grey in the colour chart)

    I have not noticed any grip or performance gains
    It's mainly for looks but the wheels are nearly 4kg lighter than stock,
    they don't thump as badly as the stock wheels did over poor surfaces

    I can't complain about my wife changing her mind these days

    Fair call, there's stuff all in price (relatively) between x 7.5 and x 8 in these wheels so may as well just go the x 8 here.

    The LMs aren't that light, but I believe they clock in at 10kg, which compares to the 12.9kg of the stock Detroit (based on internet research).

    It's possible to go lightweight and stay at 18 in the OZ range with the Alleggerita HLT, these clock in at 7.72kg, don't mind the design, and available in black, graphite, silver and various other colours. They up the dollar cost significantly though (23%).
