Hey guys, sorry for awakening this thread but i have a similar question as the OP... I have 17x7 rims with a +40 offset that sit on 205/40 tires. My question is: Would a set of hottuning coilovers fit on there or would the spring rub on my tire? Woudl be great if someone could help me

    Thanks alot, Stef

if its mk1 or 2 it will rub

EDIT: just realised you have a mk2 they will most likley rub or maybee not even mount onto the hub

    cheers

    DOm, that might be BS!

I have a mk3, now I know that's different, but the mk2 and 3 are similar. Infact, the hottunings for a mk3 are also used for a mk2. So, you'd be using the same setup as me.
Now, I am running 16x7 et35 at the moment with HEAPS of space between wheel and spring!!!! So, I'm pretty sure a 40 will fit. If it doesn't, only a small spacer will be required! But I doubt it!

Have to agree with std brakes should still clear. Then again it's wheel width ie 16x8 et40 is 1" closer to the coil than 16x6 et40...

Thanks for the reply guys. Theres about 4cm space there now between shock and tire so i would think it should "just" fit with the coilovers, and if not i will go get some 4 or 5mm spacers. Thanks alot for your help again
