I'm looking at getting a set of 245/45 R19's for my Tig and ran across some DUNLOP SP SPORT 01A's, for a good price (tempe).
However concerns are that they're gong to be noisy and not last that long as I've read a few reviews to that effect.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these tyres.

Can't tell you about SP Sport 01A, which look to be completely different from the SP Sport 01 that comes as OEM fit on Yeti. Every car I have ever had from new has had relatively rubbish OEM tyres - ones I've wanted to wear out as fast as possible. The SP Sport 01 is the first OEM fit tyre I would be prepared to stick with. Made in Germany and no faults I can find in the driving experience. They seem quite quiet to me.
FWIW, I figure we can get an impression of tire performance from a little research and tyre articles I have read over the years. I look at the US Uniform Tire Quality Grade (UTQG) markings as a guide to longevity and a rough guide to grip. Noise levels appear to correlate largely with transverse edges hitting the road. The 01A has some of those where the 01 does not - they are more diagonal. Wet grip apparently largely relates to rubber:void ratio, and silica compounds are preferred. Lateral and braking grip appears to correlate with block size in the direction of force.
