    dismantling simmons wheels?

Anyone know where I can get the required 10 point socket to remove the required nut (pictured below)?
After research on the internet, it *might* be a size 13, or even a size that is specific to simmons wheels.

Plenty of threads in the internet about this issue, but none have answers.

    Anyone?

Yeah it's a special tool you need that's Simmons specific. The other 10 pt fasteners I've heard of are for 3-piece OZ Racing and Mercedes multi-piece wheels and they require 8mm and 10mm sockets (which are, in comparison to the Simmons ones, more readily available). Quoting from a thread I found:

The 10 point nuts are "specials" that we (Simmons) have made for us to discourage disassembly of the wheels.
So they are going to ship me a socket from Australia to remove them.
Judging from Google search results, I think you'll either need to head out to a guy that refurb Simmons wheels, call up Simmons Wheels yourself and possibly ask nicely about buying the required tool/s, or just grab a pair of vice grips to hold the nut down while you undo the bolt. Either way it'd probably be easier to swap them out for more common fasteners (make sure to match the thread diameter and that they're suitable for bolting together multi-piece wheels).

As Ray says. Vice grips and replace them with something less obscure.

Yeah planning on doing the vice grip method as a last resort. I reckon a size 12 10point socket might fit, and there is one floating on ebay. Just thought I'd post here in case people know of other ways. I will definitely be replacing them with regular high tensile nuts.

Vice grip method will be very time consuming also given the number of nuts that are on each wheel.....
