    Cutting bump stops

Is it possible to cut my bump stops in half without taking the coilovers off the car?

You'd risk scratching the shock piston. And you'd have to cut a slit down to actually remove it. More of an annoyance than anything.

Easy really. The shock piston things are very tough so I wouldn't be too worried about scratching them, just be carefull. I took mine out to cut mine though.

Did cut the helper springs off with an angle grinder though, in an attempt to keep some sort of alignment

I have used a loose hacksaw blade to cut them on the car, just get a fine tooth blade. Cut horizontally around the strut and then you can push the sliver up and slice it down the side.
