I think the problem is our shoddy road conditions nad the fact you are running 19" wheels.
I run 19's on the Tig but have a larger sidewall height so i can stand more bumps.
Fingers crossed you dn't have any more crackers.
i got a tps light this morning, checked and inflated, it was at 20psi, pumped to 38psi and did my errands this morning, got home and checked again and it was down to 34psi. took it to my tyre shop, and when he pulled the wheel off, he showed me the 2cm crack.
19" oz racing ultraleggera. ill admit, ive hit some whoppers since ive had the car, dark rainy night, and BAM, u run over a trench of a hole. it happens. i was kinda pissed, but it is what it is. first time ive ever run 19" rims, and i realise now that sydney roads aint designed for flash rims and nice cars.
better off in the hilux with the chunky tyres.
gonna cost about $500 delivered, nice xmas present i guess

i copped the same thing
little hairline crack and would go to 20psi after about a day or so.
But why $500?
Local wheel shop got mine repaired for $100.
$500 for a brand new ultraleggera delivered. ill go and send the cracked one off to repair and keep as a spare or a nice coffee table. cos this will undoubtedly happen again.
im not confident that a repair will make it stronger, especially with lightweight alumnium rims, and ive been told it will prob crack again

Depends on how it's fixed - if just welded up, it will bound to crack again. A wheel guy I use does metal stamping/punching (not sure on the exact term but it looks like he pinches in new metal in the crack) and then welds it over. He's been building and fixing wheels for a long time and he is confident of his work. I've had a cracked wheel fixed up for around the $150 mark, but I'll admit, if a new, identical wheel can be bought for $500, I'd probably buy a new one.

hate that! your lucky your wheels are still avalbile.
my monzas turned up with a crack, had that welded and rolled and its been fine. its a very ugly weld but cant see it really unless the wheel is off.
Who did you get to fix your Monza's?
