Could you make these wheels shine?

Hey i was wondering if it is at all possible to get these wheels to look "shiny"?

I'm very keen to get a set of these in 17x8 for my new Candy White Polo GTI.
I'd love to be able to get a bit of shine from these wheels or is it literally impossible for matt black?

I absolutely love the look of the black Telladega's on the White R's especially with how glossy the wheels look.

Please don't do it Mike...those wheels are too nice as they are...they would only look like cheap rims if you made them glossy. The Talladega's are unique in gloss...as are the OZ wheels in matte.

There are many matte black bits on the Polo GTI to complement matte black rims... moreso than the gloss black. I have matte black myself and it does look good.

Yeah i haven't actually seen these wheels in person yet, i really like them and think they would look sweet on the Polo Gti.
I was just a little worried that they might look dull compared to the rest of the car.
I'll have to go down to a wheel shop to have a look at them on my car.
Do you have pictures of your wheels on your car? I'd love to see them.

Yeah its a little daunting choosing wheels especially if you cannot view them on your car which was the case for me.

I liked the outcome due to the wheels complimenting all matte black inserts like grill, lower grill, lower grill surround, side skirt lips, side mirror mounts and rear diffuser.

After I get my lowering springs in thurs or fri I'll be getting the camera out on the weekend so will post up some pics.

Mike, below is a perfect example of what I was referring to. Gloss black wheels against gloss black inserts/accents really goes well. Same applies with matte against matte.

Judging by the stock photos it looks like the clear coat of the wheel comes in a matte finish.

To get them "shiny" in a short space of time you could drop your car off at a wheel repair/repainting centre, they can scuff the clear coat off and spray it with something that was a bit glossier. This would give you the shine you're looking for.
