    From my friends personal experiences, King Springs are the next best thing to chopped springs. Ill ride a bike before i ever touch a King Spring.

    I've had KMAC springs SNAP on me, be too stiff, be too soft, not fit etc, but my 3 sets of King springs have always been fine.

    My friend races his $300,000 Escort on V8 supercar suspension that has springs made by King Springs.

    Maybe your friend had 3" Ultra lowered springs or something. Off the shelf springs, even the 2" Superlow range have good rates.
