Both equally as good
Hi, I am thinking of getting some spacers to "increase" the stance of my Mk 7. What do members recommend H&R or ECS Tuning ?
Both equally as good
You have 0 idea about them to be honest.
Spacers change the offset of your wheels, closer to guard.
They have 0 effect on suspension and 0 effect on handling. Unless you use a 100mm spacer your tyres will rub on guards.
Worth noting illegal as well.
Obviously not likely to be a roadside issue unless you were outside the guard, but a quick way for an insurance company to avoid a payout on a claim.
If stance is critical I'd just go for a wheel with a better offset to save the issue on a Mk7, unless it's a weekend toy and the risk of loss does not matter.

Yes, definitely illegal in Victoria — don't know about other states but probably.
Most likely because they can make wheels project beyond the guards, and also because people are likely to fit them with the standard bolts.
