Bilstein Fibi strut bearing for polo 9n3

    Hi,
I have developed a knocking noise from my suspension, and was told it is most probably my strut bearings.
Does anyone know the best place for me to order Bilstein Fibi strut barings for my polo gti 9n3.
Also, I have seen a few strut bearings advertised, and not sure which are best (my car is lowered approx 60mm).
    Thanks
    Clint

are you sure it's the strut bearing? because i thrashed the crap out of my car, on crappy suspension (stock, then stock + springs) for a good couple of years and i never had any knocking coming from the strut bearings.

the front sway bar hitting the drive shaft after lowering, yes, but not the strut bearings.

besides, all the guys i know who have got coilies/ cup kits on their polos, just use the OEM strut bearings. additionally, i've never seen any reports on watercooled in the 9n3 section about suspension knocking noises being attributable to the front strut bearings.

do you go to tim's place on friday nights? perhaps if you could replicate the noise for one of us polo 9n3'ers, we might be able to suss it out, because "strut bearing knocking" sounds weird as hell to me.

buller_scott, at the moment it could be anything making this knocking noise. i spoke to mr golfman, who also mentioned i bring the car round one Friday night; i guess i will have to -- will also be a good excuse to meet you guys...besides tims place is within 10 minutes of my house.
i did put shortened links on, so the sway bar should not hit the drive shaft; either way, and this may help, it seems to only happen at low speeds......
    thanks

yeah man, you should go round to tim's place of a friday.

good crowd, lots of banter and general mucking around, foods and drinks, lots of knowledge to be shared, and a fair bit of hood-popping, check-that-out-how-did-you-install-that-and-should-i-do-it-too shenanigans.
