BBS RS Pictures please - different sizes lips

    Hi guys,

I'm thinking of putting larger lips on my BBS RS, just don't know how they will look.
Could you guys show me pictures of how your BBS RS look from the side, and let me know what lip size you have.

And who does the best deals on lips?

    Thanks.

what size of RS do you own? and to what size do you want to go to? I have felgenfuch's stainless dishes and pertsch and partner alloy dishes plus standard alloy lips and theyre all comparitively good for quality and style, not impressed at all by image custom rs lips from their factory, just personal feedback, ive seen some proper horror stories though. Id always suggest buying 2nd hand factory if A they are in the sizes you want and B if theyre in good original condition

I really don't know what size my lips are, it's hard to measure, I just know my model number of the rims that's all, and the pages on the internet don't show lip sizes for the models just the diameter of the rim.

    I have RS137 fronts and Rs225 rear

I went on pertsch and partner website :

    http://www.titanium-touch.de/shop/in...Aluminium.html

The problem is they say "we take your measures".... It's going to be extremely hard to give them precise measurements so they can make a lip to fit, I mean half a mm wrong and they will make me something that does not fit. I mean 16" BBS RS has 34 Holes, what else do they need to know?

The other problem is it doesn't even say they are for BBS RS, so I don't know what style/shape of lip they are going to make me.
From the pictures it looks like it's a weird type of Lip, different to the RS design, too many bends... or maybe thats just how the larger sizes look like.. still not too bad

I had a look at felgenfuch ebay store but it doesn't say which ones are for BBS RS, it says says BBS. Some of them say "RH" but on most of the lips it just says BBS doesn't specify whether it's for RS RH etc. Or I guess when they say "fur BBS" must fit all BBS so long as its the same hole count?

Also I like the style that after the bolts, as it goes toward the outer bit of the lip, it dips down and them comes up, that's the style mine are. It seems that most of the aftermarket lips are just flat where the bolts are..... where as mine Dips downward a little and then goes up, or maybe I'm wrong, or maybe only the smaller like 1 inch or 1.5 inch lips have that style and the larger sizes are different?

Anyway i'd guess my fronts are 1 inch and rears are 1.5" or 2.0", hard to measure without taking the tyres off as I saw it has to be measured from the inside.

I'd be wanting to go about 1 or 1.5" larger on the rears but first i got to know what size my current ones are to know what size new ones to buy.

1" lips have a feature line more than the gulley/valley/channel(whatever you want to call it)on the 1/2" lips but you measure them from the mating face to the inside of the J(where the tyre beads)

34 bolts RS centre weaves come in two different OD sizes but if you call them they speak english and you can give them the rs model number and they can do lips from that.Once you go over a certain width the design is open to the differing companies interpretation as there wasnt many wide option factory lips over 1.5

have you got the tire off the wheel? all you have to do is measure from the lip bead to where it mounts to the center or barrel.

Is there any way to measure the OD Diameter. See the thing is I want to put larger lips on my rears which are RS225, and then put my old Lips from the RS225 on my RS137's at the front, but I need to find out if all 4 wheels have the same OD. Isn't there a web page with all the OD's listed for these wheels?

if not how is a good way of being sure what the OD is?

Just not sure on what you mean by OD, The outer diameter of the actual Barrel? So should the Outer diameter of the barrel match the inner diameter of the Lip in order to fit?

    Thanks.

As for measuring the lips. I take it just measure from the surface where the bolts are, to JUST BEFORE the actual "kerb" of the rim is?, but don't include the kerb of the rim? Sorry don't know what to call it

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the picture.

When measuring, do I measure upto the green or red line as seen on this picture below ?
