Lowered springs making noise

I have read on other forums that some guys have issues when installing lowered springs into their MK5's due to the front springs making noises. I guess it is not a real issue but would be pretty annoying.

It is the springs (the dead coils) being loaded coil-wise and then uncoiling when the wheel is turned at very low speeds.

Is this the case with all lowered springs or just some? Seems like it would be just with the springs which are pretty low (40mm+)

could be they dont fit well in the upper spring seats. Probably makes little difference how low they are, more likely how closely the end coild follows the shape of the OEM spring. Its also possible that some people do not refit the strut mounts correctly so the bearings do not work properly (should turn quote easily).

I assumed that ppl would have fitted every thing correctly before they complain about noise but you may be right. Any one experienced theses noises? Or does anyone want to give me some
KW V3's??

Adzy, I've had similar probs in the past with newly fitted springs. Turned out to be the plastic 'spacers'? placed towards the ends of the springs which prevent one coil from rubbing on another.
Once repositioned, noise gone.
Don't know if this is your problem, but it is common

Yeah that sounds about right. I have now discovered that it is fixed by sleeving the springs which is done at the factory with some springs, Tein for eg. Thanks for that mate, I dont have springs yet just weighing up pro's and con's. Pretty sure I am just going to save some coin and get some overcoils.

What brand did u go? Have your shocks handled it well?
