Awkward Hub centric wheel spacer size...

So a 10mm spacer would be perfect for my new wheels to clear the brakes on the rear. The wheels are already 10" wide so I don't want to go bigger as there'll be too much poke and although I'm already getting guard work done, I'd rather the minimal amount.

Problem I have with the 10mm is that when I trial fitted the wheels with 2 x 5mm H&R Trak+ spacers there was only a little bit of the hub protruding enough to sit the wheel on and centre it. So I know I won't have problems with centering the wheel but now it'll be mainly just be the wheel bolts (I will get extended ones) holding the wheel on. The hub would have little load on it. Question is how safe/unsafe is this?

I can't get the normal 10mm with the tapered register as the wheel won't sit flush against the spacer. Are there any spacers with the register to fit in the centre wheel bore that aren't tapered? I'd assume it'd have to be at least 12mm or something..

5mm spacers don't have enough material to have a new hubcentric lip.

10mm spacers do. Buy some 10mm spacers and you are on the money.

Yeah I've been speaking with Chris and he's trying to help me out. He's got some 10mm ones in 5x100 for me but I'm trying to work out how good it'll work.

Problem is that for the 10mm to have a new centric lip it needs a chamfer.. The chamfer doesn't fit in my wheel centre bore as it's 57.1mm all the way and doesn't have space for it, hence it won't sit flush. He can machine off the whole lip so it'll fit, but my main concern is where the force from the rim is applied?

Some people say the force is applied on the friction between the spacer and the wheel, and the bolts don't take any vertical force. Others say the force is applied on the hub extender...... Meh

Is is possible to have the chamfer added to the wheels?

I'm no expert.
