There's a reason for that - they were never released on Aussie Mk1 TTs! As you've said, the 6-spoke ones prone to gutter rashes are what seems to be the most available.

The newer Audi A3s come with a similar design to those "fat fives" on that Polo, but they're 5x112 unfortunately (fortunately for me haha).

The only way to grab a set in 5x100 is if you find a set overseas and have them sent to you. They don't go for big money, but I'm guessing shipping will be a killer.

    WHY!!!! WHY!!!! WHY!!!!

why must we be so unfortunate in "the land down under".... WHY!!!!

EVERYTHING THAT IS GOOD HAS BEEN TAKEN AWAY FROM US. WE DONT EVEN GET TO HURT OURSELVES BY TRYING THEM FIRST.

WHY must nobheads have to decide wat we do and do not want ????

That' just the way it goes mate.
That's what makes rims like those "rare" to us, but if you bring a set in from the states, sure they would fetch some good money once the time comes to sell them!

    http://www.audizine.com/classifieds/
    http://forums.vwvortex.com/zeroforum?id=803
    http://audi-sport.net/classifieds/showcat.php?cat=10

you are looking for Audi "Fat Fives"

    a good example: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=4751385 (USD600 ono)

Shipping ex USA would be around A$250 or ex UK around A$330.

If you are keen to import, let me know and I can steer you towards some freight forwarding companies that can arrange shipment for you.

and at up to A$1000/set you wont be hit with import duties or GST

I was in the same boat man, they look awesome and are pretty readily available in the UK...

If you get them, it will be a unique Pog in Australia.

If you're going to go to the trouble of getting fat 5's, might as well get the 18" version from the euro A8
