    Anyone used wobble bolts?

    Hey Guys,
Totally sick of trying to find 5x112 rims in the right offset!! However, there are plenty of 5x114.3 rims that will fit up. Been reading a bit about these "wobble" bolts and wondered if anyone here had used them? Are they safe? Any input welcome.

    Cheers
    Simon

I don't think you can get 2.3mm of wobble out of them.

There was a thread someone made asking about them for a polo - mk5 wheel upgrade (5x100 - 5x112) i will try to find it for you.

    More info here: http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/newf...ad.php?t=35848

Better just being safe and going with the 5x112 option and using spacers to fix the offset than using wobble bolts imho.

You can definitely go 5x112-5x114.3 with the wobble bolts. Thought they might not be so obvious as spacers.

I would have thought spacers would be safer than wobble bolts to be honest.

Really don't know much about the bolts tbh. I know i'm TOTALLY fed up with looking for the right wheel in the right offset for 5x112, damn silly VW PCD!!!

You do realise that audi, mercedes and bmw wheels also come in a 5x112 offset for most cases yeah?

Try some tuning companies for those barands (lorinser, hamman, etc) and see what you can find or have a look at their OEM/replica wheels.

Unfortunately all the 5x112 wheels are made for Golfs and Audis etc which use pretty high offsets. The Tiguan can use much lower offsets but such a small market they obviously don't bother making them. There are some wheels around that would fit the specs I want but I either don't like them or they're massive $$$.

Try here as well for about 40 wheels that will fit the tiguan.

    G.Max Defiant wheels look awesome!

All I can say is keep looking on ebay, and look at different replica/oem wheels from the other brands (BMW/merc etc) as they should use lower offsets.

    Hopefully you spot a bargain.

    Edit:
MMR Wheels look ace and should fit as well.
