anyone know where to find 165 40 or 45 R16's in Australia?

    hey all.

trying to track down either 165/40 or 165/45 R16's and so far im coming up with jack all.

apart from a 800 buck set of ku31's on ebay i haven't come across anything else after calling a few tyre shops in Brisbane and talking to some mates that work at distributors.

    so...

if you have bought a set from a tyre store anywhere in Oz mind letting me know.

    thanks.
    john.

I work for Bridgestone Australia.... The smallest we do in 195/45/16.... Try a Kumho Platinium dealer and they should be able to get the KU31 for you? Where are you located?

i would look into buying from UK and paying for shipment the set they have on ebay that i sore was $800 so if you do abit of research or even phone a tyre company over there im pretty sure you could get them cheaper, its disgusting how they try and rip us off here for a smaller tyre

its theres no demand for them there's no point having them in stock, epically when they have a shelf life.
its the game we play when picking odd sized tyres. having a chat with the place i get my tyres fitted he said, if they havnt sold a tyre in 6months its basically costing them money.

    ive called
    Bridgestone
    Netta tyres
    Top tyres
Yokahama - that redirected me to bob jane (****!)
    toyo tyres
    kumho

and so far the best ive come up with is talking to 'about imports' who might sort something out for me.
or order thru netta at 210 each.

oh! and federal tyres can/maybe bringing in 165/40 R16 595 federal Evo's but its 8 weeks away.

or i wait 3 months for the next container from japan when i bought a set of 16's with 165/40 r16's on it for 10k (120ish au) lol.
