Hi I have a few weeks old Octavia RS....today I went over a speedhump a little faster than I would have liked but not ridiculously fast, it was one of those hidden in the shadows dark bitumen ones, not an evil one sharp high one, just a moderate height up and over (and not the wide gentle suburban streets one).
Anyway right when I started going over it, there was a thump towards the top of it, I was still braking so wondering if it was the ABS or Brake assist going off.....I have a vague recollection of something like this happening in another car with a speedbump.
The other thoughts are, the shocks hitting the top of their housing...although I'm pretty sure it wasn't that hard or fast, or something underneath the car hitting....it seems all ok underneath but can't tell without getting it on a hoist. I didn't really hear a scraping sound either.
I have seen in some reviews that the ABS is a touch sensitive in these so that's my guess.
