    Which A3 wheels are 5x112?

    Hi,
Just in case I find some deals on wheels for my MkV, I'd like to double check which VW/Audi OEM designs might fit (on a Mk V Jetta- 5x112 pattern).

While I'm still preferring VW OEM 18", the prices are likely to remain high and I might be tempted either with Audi 18s (most will likely be 5x112) and maybe 17s - hence the check on which might be 5x112.

e.g. these 'old RS6 fat five' style are probably for the 5x100 size A3, right?

(thee look nice; too bad they are likely not 5x112; however I'd appreciate any link to a MkV with RS6-style 'fat five' alloys, to see the look)

I'm using myturbodiesel.com's Audi/VW wheel chart FAQ as a reference; it would appear that this is indeed for the older 5x100 A3.

Like you have found out, the very first A3 was 5x100. Everything else of that generation and newer has been 5x112!

A3 is 5x100 at least in the early cars.
A4 and other bigger Audis are 5x112 which should be perfect for your car.
TT has early ones in 5x100 and later ones in 5x112.

Thanks, Ray, I've sent the seller a question about which A3 these came from. I'm hoping that based on their newish look, they are the 5x112 fat five, from an A3 with MkV-era wheels.

Can anyone instantly determine which generation A3 these wheels are from?

Anyone interested in buying or selling A3 wheels should check and note this measurement as it would be silly to sell the wrong size wheels.

Thanks Golf Loon; just to add, the later A3 5x112 fat five wheel is in the FAQ and it looks the same as the one in my OP:

Only seen the fat 5's in 112.

Not conclusive, but a good start. You could just ask the seller what year they came off...

Don't forget about the offset. alot of VW Audi & Skoda's have 5/112 PCD but some of the earlier ones have a different offset. which means the wheels may fit on the hub but will stick our or too far in.

if you run the RS6 rims, youll need low profile tires as they are ET35.. if your not planning on lowering then might be alright but may the wheel gap look larger with lower profile tyres..
