9N3 Polo GTI - Will 17x8 +42 Fit??

Guys, considering getting a set of these for the Polo... Can only get them in in 5x100 bolt pattern at 17x8 +42... 1010tires.com calculation reckons there will be 19mm less clearance both on the in and out... Other option to go 17x7 +32 which will fit no problems, but I want some stretch

is there 2cm of clearance between your strut and wheel currently?
Plans to lower the car? as that'll effect how much room you have between the outer face of the wheel and the guard.
