maybe its using the same pads as that used in the a3?
i was told the paddle-shifters r the audi style ones, rather than the expected vw ones!
u never know with everyone dipping into the VwAG parts pin!!
I tried to install some EBC Redstuff rear pads the other day and they are different to what i purchased. They are the right ones on all websites and the same as a Golf GTI. I checked and what i have will fit a GTI. I have DP31518C pads.
I thought the RS and the GTI shared the same brakes? The fronts were right. What do i have as rears? Have they been changed in the 2011 RS or the MK6 GTI???
You can see in the pics the pad shape is different. No cut out in bottom corner either.

FYI all MY2011 Golf GTI & Octavia RS now have different calipers & pads.
2010 GTI PADS P/N 1K0-698-451-H
2011 GTI PADS P/N 5K0-698-451
2010 GTI CALIPER P/N 1K0-615-423-P (LEFT) 1K0-615-424-P (RIGHT)
2011 GTI CALIPER P/N 5K0-615-423-A (LEFT) 1K0-615-424-A (RIGHT)
Doh.
Anyone want a set of redstuff rears?
Hi guys,
Sorry to drag up an old thread but does the vRS have mkv gti or mkvi gti brakes (calipers) or none of the above? Are the mk5 and mk6 gti calipers the same? I have MY2010 vRS and am looking at getting some calipers I have done some searching and this is as far as I get.
Thanks guys
