    2009 Jetta Steering Noise

Lately I am hearing a groan from the front end as I turn the wheel. Mostly detectable at parking speeds. Any tips on what to look for here? I am pretty new to these cars.

66, I'm experiencing the same with my 2008 Golf, about 95,000km. Just had rego transferred from interstate and Roadworthy inspector said he checked out wheel bearings etc but could find nothing obvious. He could also hear the noise/ groan at low speeds while turning. Mostly to the left and coming from the left front side. Brake discs have a fair lip on them and are due for replacement at next pad change, he said it could be that but also mentioned it didn't sound like anything too sinister and just to keep an ear on it....

Could be a worn rear bush in the front lower control arm.

I've also done a few strut top bearings in them as well.
