18" wheels for jetta tdi, warranty

I've never understood why people buy... expensive wheels, then skimp on tyres.

A budget of $200 a corner just means you're really up against it.

I'm in the same boat, so perhaps this should have been a consideration before opting for 18"s?

Even though I too would prefer 18"s for the Bora(t), this is also the reason why I'll probably only go for 17"s, as you can get seriously good 17" rubber for $200 a corner (even less for good quality 16") and would prefer to spend the money on excellent tyres on +1 or OEM wheels, rather than 18"s with crap rubber.
