18 inch RIMS for MY11 Polo GTI

    Hi,

I have a MY11 Polo GTI and am thinging about swaping the 17 inch Denvers for 18inch VW/Audi Replica wheels (either GOlf R or TT RS or Detroits replicas).

Does anyone know if 18 inch will fit on POLO and if yes what size and offset?? Will I then have to lower the GTI??

Should fit depending on a few factors... whats the current tyre size on yours?
How wide are the new wheels compared to the old ones?

    Current DEnvers are 17 x 7.5 with 35 offset i think and the tyres are 215/40/17. I think the 18's are 18 x 8 and 35 offset.

fitment wise the wheel should be pretty good, as your only gaining 6mm outward and lose 6mm clearance to the strut (id imagine thats ok but maybe go measure it as i dont know polos)
If thats the current tyre size, your going to want something like a 215/35/18. use this calculator to see for your self Wheel / tire size calculator / comparer - RIMSnTIRES.com
