is a 7x7 that much of a problem to fit? wow. Im beging to think that an 8" wont fit. i still want 17"s, but i dont want coilovers. is there enouther way? Where do the tyres rub?

also a 235/40 r17 is within the 15mm allowable. (rolling diameter)

its not only rim width. its tyre width. even different brands of tyre sit on the rim differently.

nah, 235z would look phatt! though i think ud be supprised how much the hight diff would be compared to the stocko's i think, would bb interesting. Though its just your speedo you hav t worry about, i dont think d pigs would do u for your tread? eventhough its illegal for ill-fitting tyres ive never heard of anyone gettin dun faw it?

235/40 isn't the right size. The rolling diameter - and thus your gearing (already too long) and speedo - would be screwed.

Tell them to man the f-ck up and stretch a 195/40 over it
