    15x8 in 5x100 a pipedream?

As most of you other member have probably already noticed, its nigh on impossible to find wide wheels in the 5x100 pattern in generally smaller sizes domestically. Does anyone have any leads or places where they have encountered wide wheels in a 15? I'm even talking about 7.5's here...

    Cheers,

    they're kinda lame though...

rayray widened his golf 4 15" steelies. they're a few bits and pieces floating around on ebay.

You could do widened steelies as you have an 8" barrel and you get whatever offset you want so +20 front +10 rear whatever. You'd have to really want them though as they're not cheap.

Yeah not a lot of off-the-shelf wheels in 15x8 5x100 configuration, so your best bet is in 3-piece wheels.

Fair enough, I gave some guys who made superlites a call and I asked them for a set of 15x7 ET12 and 15x7 ET25 and they were reluctant to go on because they could not confirm whether or not the calipers would clear on the front with such a high ET. And all the 8's were in negative ET's anyway so they were ruled out. They were around 275 each which wasn't to bad I guess.

I'll just have to keep looking, do you folks have any suggestions of places to look for wheels or some nice workable 3 piece rim manufacturers?

Look for possible sets of wheels in 5x114.3 that might be redrillable/adaptable. There are quite a lot of sets of 15x7.5/8s in that PCD floating around. Search around JDM/Silvia/Jap car forums and see what you come up with, you never know what you might find and alot of those guys don't like 15" wheels so get rid of them cheap. Im always on the look out, especially on SAU and NS.com

I reckon look for porsche wheels they have some good designs. Not really in 15's, but in 16's sure. But you need adapters.

    this
    and
    this

also merc, idk what bolt pattern it is, also need adapters - but high offset so they are suitable.

cheap, so the money you save can go on adapters

I really don't want to deal with the potential legal and/insurance that adapters and spacers bring, I'd consider a redrill of a wheel, but with CB's around the 70mm mark, I can't see that happening safely either...

why? whats the problem? itll be like standard 4x100 without hub rings, i roll my wheels without hub rings and they work perfect, they dont loosen at all, its not that big a deal, redrill and run em
