The 7.5 ET 13 will sit approx 13.5mm further out than the 7 ET20.
Should be pretty flush, infact, that's pretty mad fitment. Hope you pick the right tyre size and slamm it. It'll could be awesome.
So..
Probably a bit of a noob question here but does anyone know whether a 15x7.5" wheel with ET 13 in the rear will sit flush to the guards similar to what 15x7" ET 20 would be on the front under a Mk1? Or any other size/ET that would sit flush with the edge of the guards for the rear?
Simpler question might be what's the perfect size/offset for the rear of a Mk1 to compliment 15x7 ET 20 front?
Purely because from the images of cars with 15x7" ET 20 on the rear they seem to tuck by a small amount & i'd really like them to sit flush.
Sorry if this is a bit confusing.. Only just started reading up about offset's & how they work so i'm not sure if i'm explaining everything simply..

Here is 15x7 et28 with a 10mm spacer (ie. et 1 before I lowered the car to the final height just so you can get an idea (no scrubbing at this height at all).

If you go ET10 and want it close to the same as that you might need a 1 degree camber shim.

All really depends on the offset's that the wheels come in as well mostly.
But it'll be a few months before I can afford the wheels anyhow, so I've got plenty of time to suss how to get them to fit perfectly when I finally purchase them & go to mount them.

ride height, tyre size, camber and even the car itself (does it track straight, are the gaurds straight etc) all come into play.
But theose offsets are a pretty good start
well, i have a question.
I am running 13x5 stock alloy on my mk1 and planning to get 15x7 wheels with stock suspensions. (no modify)
will they stress the suspensions and the body? or not a really big deal?
do I have to upgrade other parts too? or better to keep stock wheels?

replying to the OP i have 13x6 et13 rims on at the moment with 165/65 tyres and the rears sit as cose to flush in the rear. Im really low and the tyres scrub
