stock height or lowered will be the first thing?
know someone running 19x9.5et43 out back with a 235 or 245. cant recall is stock height or lowered springs.
Need to make sure your tyre rolling diameter is similar front and rear on an awd car
Howdy folks, we've discussed big but also curious as to wide... How wide? Staggered with 10" on the rear (looking at 19's or 20's... Why not).
Anyone fitted such the width, and if so was there much effort & tweaking required? And combo of tyre?
I had a look at willtheyfit.com but thought I'd put it out there the ones who know best... And may have trialled & tested before.
If all too hard then so be it but worth the query to see if & how it can be done... Without the hectic (& frustrating) strapping, shuddering &/or ride quality & safety.
Cheers

Also, are you after looks or performance because if you're doing it for performance then you are wasting your money as they are predominantly front wheel drive and they won't transfer that much torque to the back that the standard tyre width won't handle. I have heard that you may want to be careful with having too greater difference between the front and back too due to AWD and also the stability systems. Look forward to seeing a pic if you do get there in the end.

Thanks dylan8 & snerlo,
Believed to be stock height at present, although if adding 20's might want to lower but not too aggressive, depending on stance with the wheels.
Fronts for these are 9".. And based on both your comments, it may not be the smartest option (of course it's not but geez it would make a difference). Open to any of your wheel ideas styles thoughts and suggestions etc.. Post or link some pics if possible

If i was going to do wheels, and believe me i want to, then i would keep them the same size to enable rotations. But thats just me. Then you dont have any issues with the traction control system or any other sydtems that monitor traction like the haldex system. Each to their own though mate.

Yes that was the smart me was all about before I got caught up with the big & wide.. Still considering big but may not go too wide, keep them the same all round also. Cheers snerlo, any super nice wheels you've seen on the R or any wagons for that matter.. Or any you should be seeing? I've got a few ideas but haven't been able to pin point just yet.

There is some around mate but the best thing to do is just google and have a look at the pictures. Most of the cars with aftermarket rims are from overseas but there are some in australia too.

Surely the 'fat rear wheel look' is for rear wheel drive cars!?
You could get one of these if the R36 doesn't already have some kind of front/rear drive ratio switching device.
