Hi Gavin, thanks for the response ive been following your comments regarding the n75 vavle on another thread too.
The gauge does sit at 0 when the engine is off when on at idle its at 22hg. With the n75 disconnected the gauge only hits 8psi or close to it.
I havent had another chipped gti driver in the car but it does pull harder with the n75 connected.
Similar to the other thread I had a pop sound come from the engine bay and after that the gauge only hit 16 instead of 21 and I could feel a huge decrease in power.

You heard something under the bonnet. I suspect a split pipe somewhere then. Examined each pipe between the turbo and throttlebody. Preferably visually, use a mirror for any parts you can't see.
I blew a pipe apart on the S3, you couldn't see it without looking properly. I missed it completely on the day and the hole was over 2 inches long.
Wow thats a huge split you must have a heap of boost.
I have gone over all the pipes bought and fitted new silicone hoses and fitted a new o ring on that crazy stupid quick clip pipe that goes to the pancake pipe, even silicone sealed the outside of the clips joint. Triple checked hose clamps, tho might get some heavy duty ones
Haha oh yeah done that I had a whistle from it for a few days before I found it, I got some tips from your thread about fixing it. The pipe from the manifold to the pcv is deleted now tho and I also moved the vavle on the brake line right up to the manifold with a 1.5 inch heavy duty hose from the manifold to the vavle, all other vac lines are now equal internal diameter fuel lines, I figured they would holdive rechecked those too. loving your build by the way.
I also had a new o2 sensor installed, just did the plugs got ngk bkre7 gapped to .28 not sure what block to check in vagcom to test them but it drives nicer than stock plugs.
The two things I havent checked properly is the maf and ignition control module.
Ill log some more now the wheathers cooler down in Melbourne, I spent hours the other day cleaning crap out of the intercooler fins as well and I relog those temps too.
What sould I measure other than rpm and g/s
No worries might take awhile to find a good converter and have it posted heaps on ebay to choose from.

Ok Gavin just checked the actuator physical setting its boosting to 4 psi I read leighaus thread again and you noted he should set it to 6psi, I have a stage 1 giac tune should I do the same?.
Any tips on adjusting the rod.
Cheers for your help.

You need to tighten it/shorten the rod. The tune would have to be written for 6PSI as that's the std pressure. just as long as you are 100% the gauge is accurate.
Do it with the engine cold. A couple of turns to start with and don't get over ambitious when the boost starts going up.
Could be the actuator has died!
Gavin
Thanks Gavin, did what you said today.
I adjusted the rod only a very small amount taking the physical up to 4.5psi and saw a small increase when the n75 was re connected, im going to take it up to 6 next weekend slowly testing inbetween, I only had a couple of hours to play with it today.
Thanks heaps for the advice I cant wait to see how it goes at 6.
