Awesome shot.
I just put the VR6 grille I got from the wrecker on today and gave her a good clean. I felt a shoot was in order...
Needs more light on the car as you can't really see the new grille, kinda looks black like the old one.
Full size here.

It's not so much the camera, and more what you do with it
You could get a shot like this with a small point and shoot that you can lock the exposure on. It's 3 shots taken at different shutter speeds to get the highlights as well as the shadows exposed properly. Then you use something like photoshop or photomatix to merge the three exposures.
I did 2 vignette layers on the jpg it spat out as well to highlight the car.

If I had your knowledge and a half decent camera then my desktop pictures would always be of my own car, and I would have no social life
FANTASTIC shot man, your car looks absolutely stunning, love it!

How do you apply these layers in photoshop? Are there any free programs that do it too?
Crazy effects.
Im tempted to photochop the size out of the first picture. Can you send me the largest you have?
