Just don't want to see the wheel explode when you are on the hairpin at Lakeside
Yep, all sorted. The only time it will explode is from the raw power.

    Raw torque.
Power will just spin the wheels and make the traction control limiter kick in

I turn it off. As soon as i get in the car. On the cruise in the wet the other day i had it on, got to really test the car out in the wet. Powering out of the corners i had all the wheels spinning and it was kicking in and BANG back firing. Then once i turned it off it was WAY better. I ended up going in and out of the corners as hard as i could (Mt Glorious) and it just hangs on. Even in the wet. The front understeers as expected but then the rear wheels kick in more and just power it through the corner. They really got the car sorted out. Its amazing.

Is yours able to be turned off completely (holding it in for 5 seconds or something) or is it one of the earlie ones where it is only partially turned off?

I was considering turning mine off at Lakeside to see how it handles but chief finance officer may not approve.

Well traction control is turned off with a 2 second hold and stability control with a 5 or so sec hold. Its a MY12 so its the updated version. Stability control is so fricken annoying. Im glad i can turn it off. The thing is never REALLY turned off. I believe there is a fail safe at some point. At the end of the day its just a safety thing but its annoying if you are driving hard. People should learn to drive without them as thats the only way they will know what there car is capable of. How did they do it 20 years ago? By feel and mad skills.

Okay, good to know yours is the updated system.
I know when driving in Forza it is a lot easier to know what is happening with all assists off otherwise it kicks in and throws the car around.

Just imagine how they would have felt driving around Lakeside in those old XB Falcons

Lol my thoughts exactly! There is a lot to said for old school manual drivers of performance cars these days.

Anyway HOLY MOTHER OF GOD Ben, got enough f**king power there dude??? Can't wait for Sunday to see if you can actually jump into another time dimension by the end of the straight

Pretty happy with it at the moment. Bigger Turbo is next. The suspension stock is pretty good especially with ACC although the spring doesnt seem to be quite matched to the shocks when on sport mode. But cant have it all i guess. Sway bars would be a better thing to have first. Oh yes, and manual FTW. There is no other way. I drove both, and the DSG was amazing, it really is a good bit of engineering but when i drove the manual it really made me smile. The DSG is quicker in a straight line, no question. But straight lines are boring

I usually try and do everything myself. I trust myself more than most mechanics. At least i can take my time and get it done right. Im doing a few other peoples cars now too. Manual or nothing

haha thanks man. Power is ok, planning for more soon. It has a huge amount of torque and is really good at accelerating out of corners on hill climbs etc. The K04 spools quickly. It holds 20 psi all the way to the redline but the weener turbo has no more puff than that.

I tried jumping into another time dimension once before and it was a real pain in the ass to get back. I was fair dizzy after too
